  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar Slowly add to the mixture.
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup Can substitute with honey or sugar syrup.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of corn syrup.
  • Slowly add 1/3 cup of white vinegar to the mixture and watch the fizzing reaction.

Coloring

  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture and stir well.

Shaping

  • Using a spoon, scoop the mixture and mold it into feather shapes on wax paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Use a template for a perfect feather shape if preferred.

Drying

  • Allow the turkey feathers to dry for 24-48 hours until they are hard.

Display

  • Once dry, use the feathers for decorations, table centerpieces, or other craft projects.

Notes

Customize shapes with different templates, use glitter for sparkle, mix textures with felt or paper, or create a mobile with multiple feathers.
