  • 1 cup Water (for the water balloon experiment)
  • 1 piece Funnel (to help with pouring)
  • 1 piece A measuring cup (for precise measurements)
  • 3 pieces Permanent markers (optional for adding designs)
  • 3 pieces Bowls (to hold your materials while you work)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in your workspace. Feel the weight of each item in your hands as you prepare.
  • Choose a balloon and hold it gently. Take a moment to appreciate its stretchiness and color.

Filling the Balloons

  • For the rice balloon, use the funnel to fill the balloon with rice. Enjoy the soothing sound as the grains pour smoothly through the funnel.
  • Carefully tie the balloon without spilling any rice. Feel the warm grains moving inside and listen to the soft rustling sounds.
  • For the water experiment, fill another balloon with water using the funnel. Enjoy watching how it fills and changes shape with each drop.
  • Once the balloon is filled, carefully tie it. Feel the coolness of the water against your skin.

Decorating and Enjoying

  • If you like, take your permanent markers and decorate the balloons. Enjoy the smooth glide of the marker as it transforms your balloon into a work of art.
  • Set your completed balloons aside and take a moment to admire your creations. Notice the different shapes, colors, and textures.

Notes

Store rice-filled balloons in a cool, dry place to ensure longevity. Water balloons should be used quickly and disposed of responsibly after use. You can personalize the project by varying fillings and decorating themes.
