  • 1 pack balloons Choose vibrant colors.
  • 1 small plastic bottles Such as empty soda bottles.
  • funnel Optional but helpful.
  • food coloring Optional for visual fun.
  • 1 set measuring spoons For accurate measurement.

Preparation

  • Start by preparing your plastic bottle. Ensure it is clean and dry, ready for the experiment.
  • Using a funnel, add two tablespoons of baking soda into the bottle. Listen to the soft sound of the granules falling.
  • In a separate container, pour about half a cup of vinegar. If you like, add a few drops of food coloring to make it more vibrant.
  • Carefully stretch the opening of the balloon over the funnel and pour the vinegar inside. Notice the contrasting textures as you pour.
  • Gently lift the balloon from the funnel while keeping it upright. This little movement creates a sense of anticipation.
  • Now, slowly tip the balloon so the baking soda falls into the vinegar. Watch closely as they react, creating a fizzy eruption of color and bubbles. Take a moment to breathe deeply and enjoy the experience.
  • Once the excitement calms down, observe the results. You can repeat the experiment or try different color combinations.

Notes

Consider how you can extend the life of the materials used by storing them safely for future activities. Keep the balloons in original packaging to prevent degradation.
