Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to a low temperature, around 175°F (80°C).
Making the Bioplastic
- In a bowl, combine bioplastic with a small amount of water and food coloring until you achieve your desired shade.
- Knead the mixture until smooth, similar to playing with dough.
Shaping the Suncatchers
- Using the rolling pin, roll the colored bioplastic to a uniform thickness (about 1/4 inch).
- Use cookie cutters to create shapes and carefully transfer them to a piece of baking parchment.
Baking
- Place the parchment with the cut shapes in the oven and bake for 30-60 minutes, depending on the thickness.
- Once hardened, remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
Final Touches
- Using a small hole punch, create a hole at the top of each suncatcher and thread through your string or fishing line for hanging.
Notes
