  • 1 Spool Fishing line or strong nylon thread Ensure it's strong enough to hold beads.
  • 1 Hoop Circle metal frame or embroidery hoop Embroidery hoop is preferred for ease.
  • 1 Pair Scissors For cutting fishing line.
  • Optional Sea-themed charms (like starfish or shells) Add these for extra decoration.
  • 1 Gun Hot glue gun Use for attaching charms if desired.

Preparation

  • Clear a flat surface to work on and gather all your materials.
  • Lay out your beads and charms so they are easily accessible.

Creating the Frame

  • If using an embroidery hoop, separate the two circles.
  • Place the inner circle on your workspace for beading.

Threading the Beads

  • Cut a length of fishing line about 2-3 feet long.
  • Tie one end of the line to the frame securely.
  • Begin threading beads onto the line, alternating sizes and types for an oceanic feel.
  • Leave a bit of space between the beads to allow for movement and light reflection.

Attaching to the Frame

  • Once you’ve beaded to your liking, tie off the end of the line securely.
  • Tightly wrap and secure the line around the frame, adjusting as necessary.

Adding Charms (Optional)

  • Use a hot glue gun to attach any sea-themed charms for added flair.
  • Position them for balance and visual appeal.

Finishing Touches

  • Trim any excess fishing line.
  • Hang your suncatcher in a sunny window to watch it come alive with color!
