  • Broken pieces blue crayons (or any desired color)
  • 1 sheet clear plastic or wax paper
  • 1 unit iron (with adult supervision)
  • 1 piece pencil or pen (for tracing)
  • 1 pair scissors

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Find a flat, heat-resistant surface and lay down some old cloth or parchment paper to protect the area.
  • Use a grater or sharpener to create blue crayon shavings. Aim for a mix of fine and coarse shavings for texture.

Assemble Your Design

  • Place a sheet of clear plastic or wax paper on your workspace.
  • Arrange the crayon shavings on one half of the sheet, creating flower shapes or your desired designs.
  • Fold over the other half of the sheet to cover the shavings.

Iron Your Creation

  • Preheat the iron to a low setting (no steam).
  • Carefully iron the top of the wax paper for a few seconds, watching the colors melt and blend.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool briefly.

Cut and Finish

  • Once cooled, unfold the paper and cut out your flower shapes.
  • Optional: Attach the finished suncatcher to your window using hot glue.

Notes

Experiment with different shades or a rainbow of crayons for varied designs. You can try hearts, stars, or other fun shapes. Consider mixing in some glitter for extra sparkle.
