Ingredients
  

Materials

  • Blue crayons Blue crayons (or any colors you wish to use) Regular wax crayons are recommended.
  • 1 sheet Wax paper For layering the crayons.
  • 1 iron Iron Set to a low heat setting.
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper (optional) Used to cover the wax paper while ironing.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting out shapes.
  • 1 Hole puncher To create holes for hanging.
  • 1 string String or ribbon for hanging

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel the paper off the blue crayons (or any colors you choose).
  • Break the crayons into small pieces to help them melt evenly.

Layering

  • On a flat surface, lay down one piece of wax paper.
  • Scatter the broken crayon pieces over the wax paper, ensuring even coverage.
  • Cover the crayon pieces with a second sheet of wax paper.
  • Press down gently to flatten the layers.

Melting

  • Set your iron to a low heat setting.
  • Place a piece of parchment paper on top of the wax paper.
  • Carefully press the iron over the parchment paper for about 10-30 seconds until the crayon pieces melt.
  • Check frequently to avoid burning the wax paper.

Shaping

  • Once cooled, remove the top layer of wax paper.
  • Use scissors to cut out raindrop shapes or any design you prefer.
  • Punch a hole at the top of each raindrop.

Hanging

  • Thread string or ribbon through the hole and hang it in a sunny window.

Notes

Try different colors, experiment with shapes using cookie cutters, or add glitter for a sparkling effect. This craft is versatile and allows for endless customization!
