- 1 piece String or fishing line For hanging the suncatchers.
Instructions
Preparing Your Workspace
- Lay down newspaper or a cloth to protect surfaces.
- Preheat your iron to a low setting without steam.
Crayon Preparation
- Use a pencil sharpener or knife to shave blue crayons into small flakes.
- The finer the shavings, the better they will melt.
Layering the Wax Paper
- Cut two pieces of wax paper into rectangles or desired shapes.
- Sprinkle a generous amount of blue crayon shavings onto the center of one piece of wax paper.
Sealing the Craft
- Place the second piece of wax paper on top, sandwiching the crayon shavings inside.
- Cover the wax paper with a thin cloth and gently press the warm iron over it for a few seconds, moving in circles.
- Let it cool for a minute before handling.
Cutting and Hanging
- Cut your suncatcher into desired shapes, such as hearts or flowers, using cookie cutters or scissors.
- Punch a small hole at the top and thread the string or fishing line through.
