Instructions

Preparing the Crayons

  • Break blue crayons into small pieces.
  • Arrange them in a desired pattern on a piece of wax paper.

Melting the Crayons

  • Place another sheet of wax paper over the arranged crayons.
  • Place a layer of parchment paper on top to protect your iron.
  • With an iron set to low, gently press down on the parchment paper.
  • Watch the crayons melt and blend, creating beautiful marbled designs.

Creating the Suncatcher

  • Once melted, allow the wax paper to cool slightly.
  • Cut the suncatcher into your desired shape (e.g., circles, stars).
  • Punch a hole at the top for hanging.
  • Thread string or fishing line through the hole.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and patterns; try mixing blues with white or other colors for a unique touch. Add a sprinkle of glitter to the melted wax for added sparkle. Instead of wax paper, use translucent plastic sheets for a different texture. Use small cookie cutters to shape the suncatcher after melting.
