- 1 unit Scissors For cutting the suncatchers.
- 1 unit String or fishing line For hanging.
- optional Glitter or other colored crayons For variation.
Instructions
Preparing the Crayons
- Break blue crayons into small pieces.
- Arrange them in a desired pattern on a piece of wax paper.
Melting the Crayons
- Place another sheet of wax paper over the arranged crayons.
- Place a layer of parchment paper on top to protect your iron.
- With an iron set to low, gently press down on the parchment paper.
- Watch the crayons melt and blend, creating beautiful marbled designs.
Creating the Suncatcher
- Once melted, allow the wax paper to cool slightly.
- Cut the suncatcher into your desired shape (e.g., circles, stars).
- Punch a hole at the top for hanging.
- Thread string or fishing line through the hole.
Notes
Experiment with different colors and patterns; try mixing blues with white or other colors for a unique touch. Add a sprinkle of glitter to the melted wax for added sparkle. Instead of wax paper, use translucent plastic sheets for a different texture. Use small cookie cutters to shape the suncatcher after melting.
