  • 1 each Baking sheet To hold the suncatchers while melting.
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper To cover the crayons in the oven.
  • 1 each Pencil For tracing shapes onto plastic sheets.
  • 1 each Oven Preheat to 200°F (93°C).
  • 1 each Scissors For cutting out the suncatcher shapes.
  • 1 each String or ribbon For hanging the finished suncatcher.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to a low temperature (around 200°F or 93°C) to prevent burning.
  • Remove wrappers from the blue crayons and break them into small pieces, approximately 1-inch chunks.
  • Use a pencil to trace your desired shape on the clear plastic sheet; common shapes include circles, stars, or hearts.
  • Lay the blue crayon pieces inside the traced shape on the plastic sheet. Make sure they are evenly distributed.

Melting

  • Cover the arranged crayons with a piece of parchment paper to protect your oven.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, checking frequently until the crayons are melted but not boiling.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove the tray from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
  • Once cool, carefully peel off the plastic sheet and cut out your suncatcher shape.
  • Use a string or ribbon to hang your beautiful creation in a sunny window.
