Ingredients
  

Ingredients for Crystal Solution

  • 1 cup water Boiled water for the solution
  • 3 tablespoons Borax (sodium tetraborate) The main ingredient for crystal growth

Materials for Assembly

  • 1 piece heat-resistant container Such as a glass jar
  • 1 piece string or thread For suspending the crystals
  • 1 piece pencil or stick To suspend the string
  • a few drops food coloring (blue or any color of choice) To enhance the visual appeal
  • optional glitter or other decorative elements For added decoration

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil 1 cup of water in a pot. Watch as it bubbles!
  • Once boiling, carefully add 3 tablespoons of Borax to the water.
  • Stir constantly until the Borax is fully dissolved.

Color Addition

  • If desired, add a few drops of blue food coloring to the solution.

Suspension

  • Tie one end of the string to a pencil or stick and dangle the other end into the solution.

Resting Period

  • Place your container in a stable location where it won’t be disturbed.
  • Allow the mixture to sit undisturbed for 24 hours.

Observation

  • After a day, check your ornaments for blue crystals forming on the string.
  • Carefully remove the string and let the crystals dry.

Notes

Customize colors, try different sizes or add decorative elements for variety. Supervise children during the boiling process.
