  • 1 flat surface A flat surface (to work on) Ensure it's clean and suitable for crafting.
  • 1 piece A pillowcase or cloth To protect the surface when ironing.

Preparation

  • Prepare your workspace. Clear a flat surface and lay down a pillowcase or cloth to avoid any mess.
  • Peel the crayons. Start with the blue crayons, feeling the waxy texture as you remove their wrappers.
  • Break the crayons. Snap the crayons into small pieces, about one inch long.
  • Arrange the pieces. Lay out the broken crayon pieces on your wax paper in a pleasing design.
  • Cover with another layer of wax paper. Gently place another piece of wax paper over your arrangement.
  • Set the iron. Warm your iron on a low setting without steam.
  • Melt the crayons. Place the iron over the covered wax paper and move it slowly.
  • Cool and cut. Once melted, carefully remove the top layer of wax paper and let it cool.
  • Display your art. Use tape or string to hang your creations in a window.
