Preparation
- Prepare your workspace. Clear a flat surface and lay down a pillowcase or cloth to avoid any mess.
- Peel the crayons. Start with the blue crayons, feeling the waxy texture as you remove their wrappers.
- Break the crayons. Snap the crayons into small pieces, about one inch long.
- Arrange the pieces. Lay out the broken crayon pieces on your wax paper in a pleasing design.
- Cover with another layer of wax paper. Gently place another piece of wax paper over your arrangement.
- Set the iron. Warm your iron on a low setting without steam.
- Melt the crayons. Place the iron over the covered wax paper and move it slowly.
- Cool and cut. Once melted, carefully remove the top layer of wax paper and let it cool.
