  • Lay out a baking tray to catch any excess liquid.

Shaping

  • Take pipe cleaners and bend them into flower shapes.

Mixing the Solution

  • Boil water on the stove until it reaches a rolling boil.
  • Pour the hot water into your glass jar carefully.
  • Add Borax to the boiling water and stir until fully dissolved.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to the solution, if desired.

Dipping Flowers

  • Carefully place the pipe cleaner flowers into the solution, ensuring they are fully submerged.
  • If using string, tie a piece of string around the flower and hang it from the jar's edge.

Crystallization

  • Leave the jar undisturbed in a safe spot overnight.
  • Check the next morning to see the crystal formations.
