Instructions
Preparation
- Bend pipe cleaners into flower shapes, adding multiple colors for a vibrant effect.
Create Borax Solution
- Boil around 2 cups of water.
- Carefully stir in 3-4 tablespoons of Borax until dissolved, creating a saturated solution.
- Add a few drops of food coloring if desired.
Setup
- Tie a piece of string to the top of your pipe cleaner flower.
- Lower it into the jar without letting it touch the bottom.
Implementing the Solution
- Slowly pour the hot Borax solution into the jar, fully covering the flower.
- Leave enough space at the top of the jar to avoid spillage.
Finalizing the Project
- Place the jar in a safe spot where it won't be disturbed.
- Allow it to sit for 6-12 hours or overnight.
Finishing Touches
- Carefully remove the flower from the solution.
- Rinse gently under warm water to remove excess Borax.
- Let the crystal flower dry completely and display it in a sunny spot.
