Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 1 cup Borax A key ingredient for crystal formation.
  • 2 cups Water Boiled for dissolving the Borax.
  • various colors Pipe cleaners Used to create flower shapes.
  • 1 Heat-safe container Such as a jar or cup for the crystal solution.
  • 1 piece String Optional, for hanging the flowers.
  • 1 piece Pencil For suspending flowers above the solution.
  • optional Food coloring To add color to the flowers.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting the pipe cleaners.

Instructions
 

Create the Flowers

  • Bend pipe cleaners into flower shapes, securing the center with twists.
  • Use a straight piece of pipe cleaner for the stem and attach the flower by twisting the base together.

Prepare the Crystal Solution

  • Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle or pot.
  • Once boiled, remove from heat and slowly stir in 1 cup of Borax until fully dissolved.

Combine Materials

  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture.
  • Submerge the shaped flowers in the solution, tying a string around the flower and attaching it to a pencil if hanging.

Let Crystals Form

  • Leave the container undisturbed in a cool area for several hours, ideally overnight.
  • Once desired crystal growth is achieved, carefully remove the flowers and rinse them under cool water.

Notes

Experiment with petal shapes, colors, and additional decorative elements like beads or glitter. Store crystals in a dry place to maintain their appearance.
