Preparation

  • Measure one cup of borax into your pot.
  • Pour three cups of water into the pot with the borax.
  • Place the pot on the stove over medium heat.
  • Stir the mixture until the borax fully dissolves.
  • Bend the pipe cleaners into flower shapes.

Combination

  • Carefully remove the pot from heat once the borax is fully dissolved.
  • Transfer the hot liquid into your jar or container.
  • Place the pipe cleaner flowers into the jar, using string or a wooden stick to hang them.
  • Cover the jar with a cloth or paper towel.

Waiting

  • Allow the jar to sit undisturbed for several hours or overnight.

Finishing Touch

  • Gently remove the jar after the waiting period and admire the crystal flowers.
