  • 2 cups Water Boiled
  • Clean seashells (shell shapes of your choice)
  • Food coloring (optional) Use for coloring the crystals
  • Heat-resistant container (like a glass jar)
  • 1 piece Stirring stick (wooden or plastic)
  • 1 spoon Spoon

Instructions

Preparation

  • Boil about 2 cups of water.
  • Gradually add 1 cup of Borax to the boiling water while stirring. Stir until fully dissolved.

Coloring the Solution

  • Optionally, mix in a few drops of food coloring until you achieve your desired hue.

Preparing the Seashells

  • Lightly coat the seashells with a thin layer of Borax to help the crystals attach better.

Setting Up the Container

  • Position your seashells in the heat-resistant container.
  • Carefully pour the Borax solution over the seashells until they are completely submerged.

Letting it Sit

  • Leave the container in a quiet place where it won’t be disturbed. Allow it to sit overnight or up to 24 hours for the crystals to fully form.

Revealing Your Creations

  • Carefully fish the seashells out of the solution.
  • Place them on a paper towel to dry, and then showcase your beautiful crystal seashells!

Notes

Experiment with shapes and colors to create unique designs. Store crystals in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
