  • 1 each Hot glue gun and glue sticks Recommended adhesive for assembly.
  • As needed Craft wire For the legs and beak.
  • Optional Googly eyes To add character.
  • 1 each Scissors For cutting the craft wire.
  • 1 piece Cardboard or a sturdy base For assembly.
  • Optional Feathers or sequins For added embellishments.

Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in one place. Ensure your bottle caps are clean and dry.

Painting

  • Choose vibrant colors for your parrot. Use brushes or sponges to apply paint evenly. Consider layering for depth. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Assembly

  • Start with a larger bottle cap for the body. Add smaller caps for the head, wings, and tail, arranging them in a delightful parrot shape. Use the hot glue gun to secure each cap in place.
  • Attach googly eyes for character. Use craft wire to shape a beak, then glue it onto the parrot’s face.
  • Cut wire into two pieces and twist them for legs. Securely attach them to the bottom of the body.
  • For stability, glue your parrot to a piece of cardboard or a sturdy base.

Embellishing

  • For a fun finishing touch, add feathers or sequins to enhance the design. Allow the glue to dry completely.
