Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon white school glue Can also use clear glue for a transparent effect.
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon borax Available in the laundry aisle. Liquid laundry detergent can be substituted, but results may vary.
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • Food coloring (optional) Add for color customization.

Tools & Materials

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Craft stick or spoon for mixing
  • Wax paper or plastic wrap for drying

Instructions
 

Preparation of Borax Solution

  • In a small bowl, mix 1/2 teaspoon of borax with 1 tablespoon of water. Stir until the borax is dissolved.

Mix Glue Mixture

  • In another mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of white school glue and 1 tablespoon of water. Add food coloring if desired.

Combine Mixtures

  • Slowly pour the borax solution into the glue mixture, stirring continuously until it thickens.

Add Corn Starch

  • Once the mixture starts to hold together, add 1 tablespoon of corn starch to improve consistency.

Mold the Ball

  • Use your hands to knead the mixture and form it into a ball shape. Wet your hands if it’s too sticky.

Dry the Ball

  • Place the ball on wax paper or plastic wrap and let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Notes

You can experiment with different colors and sizes by adjusting the amount of food coloring and the proportions of ingredients. For a fun twist, add glitter for a sparkly effect. Store completed bouncy balls in a cool, dry place.
