  • 1 cup White vinegar Necessary for osmosis process
  • 1 large Glass or jar Large enough to submerge eggs
  • to taste Food coloring Optional, for customizing colors
  • 1 Spoon or tongs For handling the eggs

Preparation

  • Place the raw eggs gently in the glass or jar.
  • Pour enough white vinegar over the eggs to completely submerge them.
  • Allow the eggs to sit in the vinegar for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Carefully remove the eggs using a spoon or tongs and rinse them under cool water.
  • Gently drop the eggs onto a hard surface to test their bounce.

Notes

To enhance the experience, add food coloring to the vinegar for vibrant colors or try different soaking times. Always supervise younger children during the process to ensure safe handling of raw eggs.
