Ingredients
  

Painting Mixture

  • 1 cup Water Room temperature for best results
  • 2 tablespoons Dish soap
  • 2 tablespoons Liquid watercolors or food coloring Choose various colors for a vibrant effect

Additional Materials

  • 1 each Straw One for each child
  • 1 piece White cardstock or thick paper Base for bubble prints
  • 1 each Bowl or shallow dish To hold the bubble mixture
  • 1 each Plastic table cover or tarp For easy clean-up
  • 1 set Gloves and aprons Optional, to protect clothing

Instructions
 

Prepare Your Mixture

  • In a bowl, mix 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of dish soap.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of liquid watercolors or food coloring and stir gently to avoid creating too many bubbles.

Set Up Your Workspace

  • Lay down a plastic table cover to protect surfaces.
  • Place the cardstock on the table or in a shallow dish to catch any excess bubbles.

Start Bubble Blowing

  • Dip a straw into the mixture, ensuring that it’s submerged.
  • Take a deep breath and blow gently through the straw to create bubbles.

Create Your Artwork

  • Position the straw close to the paper and continue blowing to let bubbles spill over onto the paper.
  • Experiment with different colors and amounts of bubbles for varied effects.

Let It Dry

  • Allow the artwork to dry completely before displaying it.

Notes

Customize colors and materials for unique effects. Cleaning up is easy with a damp cloth, and the mixture washes out with soap and water.
