Ingredients

Materials

  • 1 piece plastic bottle (empty and clean)
  • 1 piece washcloth or sock
  • 1 piece rubber band to secure the washcloth/sock
  • 1 cup bubble solution (store-bought or homemade) homemade recipe: 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • optional food coloring to create colorful bubbles
  • 1 piece scissors to cut the bottle

Instructions

Preparation

  • Cut the bottom off the plastic bottle using scissors to create an opening for your bubble solution to flow out.
  • Take the washcloth or sock and place it over the cut end of the bottle, ensuring it covers the hole completely.
  • Use a rubber band to tightly secure the washcloth or sock around the bottle's cut edge.
  • If making homemade bubble solution, mix 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, and 1 tablespoon of sugar in a bowl. Optional: Add a few drops of food coloring.
  • Dip the washcloth or sock end into the bubble solution and let it soak for a few seconds.
  • Take a deep breath and blow gently into the other end of the bottle to create long, colorful bubble snakes.

Notes

Swap materials for different fabrics, add scents like vanilla extract, and use various bottle shapes for different bubble effects.
