Preparation
- Ensure the plastic bottles are clean and dry, removing any labels for a clear view inside.
Creating the Liquid Base
- Use the funnel to pour water into the bottle, filling it about halfway.
- Add a few drops of clear glue or glycerin to the water to create a thicker consistency.
Adding Butterfly and Decorations
- Drop in the butterfly figurines along with colorful sequins or glitter for visual interest.
- Cut small shapes from the green craft foam to represent leaves and place them inside.
Color It Up
- If desired, add a drop of food coloring to enhance the visual effect of your sensory bottle.
Sealing the Bottle
- Securely tighten the lid on the bottle to prevent leaks.
- For extra security, you can use tape around the lid.
Engage and Explore
- Shake the bottle and watch the butterflies, sequins, and other decorative elements swirl and settle.
- Encourage children to observe and talk about what they see.
