Preparation

  • Set up a comfortable workspace. Lay down some newspapers or a clean cloth to protect the surface.
  • Take the pool noodle and slice it into sections about six inches long.
  • Choose a small container to create a nectar reservoir and fill it with water and a tablespoon of sugar, stirring until dissolved.
  • Using the paintbrush, apply the non-toxic paint to the pool noodle sections, choosing vibrant colors.
  • Once the paint dries, attach the painted pool noodle to the small container with a gentle adhesive.
  • Place your butterfly nectar station in a sunny area of your garden.

Notes

To store or reuse, bring the nectar station indoors during cold weather and refresh the paint or design as desired. Personalize with decorative elements or different nectar mixtures for variety.
