Preparation

Painting

  • Use your paints or markers to decorate the tube. Let your creativity shine! Bright colors work well.
  • Allow it to dry completely before moving on.

Creating the Wings

  • Cut out two large wing shapes from colored paper or craft foam. For an added flair, consider using different colors for each wing.

Attaching the Wings

  • Glue the wings to the top of the cardboard tube. Ensure they are securely attached and positioned symmetrically.

Adding Antennae

  • Cut two lengths of pipe cleaner and twist them together to create antennae.
  • Attach the antennae to the top of the tube using glue.

Final Touches

  • If desired, glue googly eyes to the front of the dragonfly’s body.
  • Sprinkle glitter over areas of paint for a magical touch!

Notes

Experiment with different materials for wings, such as lace or tulle for a unique texture. Use fabric scraps to cover the tube for a softer look. Try using paint markers for detailed designs. For nighttime decor, add glow-in-the-dark paint.
