Ingredients
For the Jellyfish
- 1 piece Old CDs Easy to find or collect
- 1 piece Sturdy piece of cardboard This will form the jellyfish body
- 1 piece Hot glue gun and glue sticks Or use craft glue as an alternative
- 1 piece Fishing line or thin ribbon For hanging the jellyfish
- 1-2 cup Decorative elements Like beads, sequins, or fabric scraps
- 1 optional Acrylic paint For added color
Instructions
Preparation
- Begin by taking your CDs and carefully cut them into small shapes, like triangles, circles, or abstract pieces.
- Lay out the colorful shards on your cardboard base to arrange them before gluing.
Assembly
- Use the hot glue gun to attach the CD pieces to the cardboard, allowing them to overlap slightly for a mosaic effect.
- Let the mosaic dry, and optionally paint the edges of the cardboard for a touch of color.
Finishing Touches
- Cut a length of fishing line or ribbon about 12 inches long and attach it to the top of the jellyfish’s body with glue.
- Create tentacles using more fishing line or fabric strips, and attach them using glue.
- Finally, display your jellyfish in a spot that catches the light beautifully.
