  • 3 pieces Old CDs The more, the merrier.
  • 1-2 sheets Colorful tissue paper or transparent colored film Easily found and can be substituted.
  • 1 pair Scissors Smooth handles are recommended.
  • 1 bottle Clear glue or Mod Podge Optional but helpful for attaching pieces.
  • 1 length Fishing line or thin string Light and airy for hanging.
  • 1 piece Hole punch For neat hanging points.
  • as desired pieces Feathers, beads, or other embellishments Optional for personal flair.

Preparation

  • Select your old CDs and appreciate their glossy surfaces.
  • Cut your colorful tissue paper or film into small shapes or strips.
  • Use clear glue or Mod Podge to attach colorful pieces to the CD, spreading it gently.
  • Allow the glue to dry and decide if you want to add embellishments like feathers or beads.

Assembly

  • Once dry, use the hole punch to create holes near the top of the CD.
  • Cut a length of fishing line or thin string for hanging and pass it through the holes.
  • Knot it securely and hang your sun catcher in a window to catch the light.
