  • 1 each Old CDs (any colors or designs)
  • 1 each String or fishing line (for hanging)
  • 1 each Scissors (sharp enough for cutting)
  • 1 each Hole punch (optional)
  • 1 each Glue (strong craft glue works well)
  • as needed optional Beads or other decorative elements
  • 1 workspace A clear workspace (to spread out materials comfortably)

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Clear a space where you can lay out all your materials.
  • Feel the calm energy of the organized area as you settle in.

Cutting the CDs

  • Carefully use your scissors to cut the CDs into various shapes like circles, triangles, or freeform patterns.
  • Listen for the soft crunching sound as the scissors move through the plastic.

Arranging Pieces

  • Lay the cut shapes out on your workspace.
  • Play with how the shapes sit together and trust your instincts on color placement.

Adding String

  • Use a hole punch to create holes at the top of your shapes if you want to hang them.
  • Alternatively, apply glue to attach them directly to string.

Gluing Design

  • Secure pieces together with glue.
  • Press the shapes together and create a cohesive piece.

Hanging the Suncatcher

  • Use string or fishing line to hang your suncatcher.
  • Thread it through the holes or attach it to the top.

Final Setup

  • Choose a window or space where light will shine through your suncatcher.
  • Step back and observe how the sunlight reacts to your work.
