  • 1 cup salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 cup chalk paint (any color of your choice)

Additional Materials

  • mixing bowl
  • cooking pot
  • wooden spoon
  • plastic wrap or airtight container for storage

Instructions

Preparing the Dough

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of plain flour and 1 cup of salt. Stir until the mixture is uniform in color and texture.
  • In a separate bowl or pot, mix 2 cups of water, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 2 tablespoons of lime juice. Add your chosen chalk paint color to the wet mixture, stirring well for an even color distribution.
  • Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
  • Transfer the mixture to a cooking pot and heat over medium-low heat. Stir continuously until the dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pot, taking about 4–5 minutes.
  • Once the dough is ready, turn off the heat and let it cool slightly. Knead the dough with your hands until it reaches your desired texture.
  • Wrap in plastic wrap or place in an airtight container to keep it fresh.

Notes

Experiment with mixing colors to create new shades. You can add essential oils for a delightful aroma or incorporate sand or glitter for texture.
