Preparation

  • Gather all your materials in a clean, open workspace.
  • Lay down wax paper or a plastic placemat to protect your surface.

Make Your Glue Mixture

  • In a bowl, pour a generous amount of clear glue.
  • Add your chosen food coloring and mix well using a paintbrush or sponge.

Create Your Design

  • Use the same paintbrush or sponge to pour the colored glue onto the wax paper.
  • Form shapes or patterns—consider flowers, hearts, or abstract designs.
  • Optionally sprinkle glitter or add beads/sequins on top for added flair.

Drying

  • Allow the glue designs to dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight, depending on thickness.

Cut Out

  • Once dry, carefully peel the designs off the wax paper.
  • Trim any excess edges if desired.

Notes

Swap food coloring for liquid watercolors for different effects and try different textures by incorporating elements like fabric scraps or tissue paper. For a smaller project, use a cardboard circle as a base.
