Preparation

  • Condition the clay by kneading it until soft and pliable.
  • Select clay colors for skin tones, clothing, and hair.

Sculpting Family Members

  • Roll small balls for heads and flatten them slightly; use larger pieces for bodies.
  • Use sculpting tools or fingers to create facial features and accessories.
  • Attach heads to bodies securely.

Baking the Ornaments

  • Preheat the oven to the recommended temperature on the clay package.
  • Arrange the ornaments on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake according to package instructions and allow to cool completely.

Finishing Touches

  • Once cooled, use paints or markers to add design elements.
  • If desired, apply a glossy sealant for a shiny finish.
  • Puncture a small hole at the top and insert a string or ribbon to hang.
