Preparation
- Start with the heart-shaped mold. Place it on your work surface, feeling the cool, smooth surface beneath your fingertips.
- Select your flower petals. Allow yourself to be drawn to the colors and shapes that speak to you. Take your time as you handle each petal; each one has its own story.
Assembling
- Begin layering the petals within the mold. Create a pattern that feels balanced to you. The soft edges of the petals will offer a lovely visual contrast.
- Take your clear-drying craft glue. If using a paintbrush, dip it gently into the glue and softly apply it to the petals. If using your fingers, caress the petals with glue, feeling the surface.
- Once you have glued down petals, add a few layers until you achieve a depth you find satisfying. Each petal will become translucent as the glue dries.
Drying
- Allow your heart creation to dry completely in the mold. This can take several hours, so take this time to relax, enjoying the anticipation of seeing your creation come to life.
- After the glue has dried, gently peel your floral heart from the mold. Cherish this moment as you free your creation, the delicate petals revealing their beauty.
- If desired, you can apply a light coat of glue to the outside to reinforce its structure. Allow it to dry again.
