Instructions

Preparation

  • Gather a variety of colorful flower petals. Fresh petals work best but dried flowers can also be used.

Create the Base

  • Spread wax paper or a plastic sheet on a flat surface to protect it.
  • If desired, mix clear glue with small drops of liquid watercolor or food coloring to add a tint.

Assemble Your Suncatcher

  • Use a paintbrush or sponge to spread a thin layer of glue on the wax paper.
  • Place the flower petals onto the glue, pressing them down gently. Use as many colors and shapes as you like.
  • Once satisfied with your arrangement, apply another layer of glue over the petals to seal them in.

Drying

  • Let your suncatcher dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight depending on humidity.
  • Once dry, carefully peel the suncatcher off the wax paper.

Finishing Touches

  • Trim around the flowers to create your desired shape.
  • Attach a string or ribbon to hang your suncatcher in a sunny window.

Notes

Experiment with different shapes, and consider using glitter glue or clear resin for variations. Add small leaves for added texture.
