  • 1 sheet Wax paper or plastic wrap To protect the surface while crafting.
  • 1 optional Heart-shaped template Helps in creating uniform heart shapes.
  • 1 each Scissors, Paintbrush Scissors for cutting, paintbrush for application.
  • 1 piece String or ribbon For hanging the suncatchers.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay down wax paper or plastic wrap on a flat surface to protect it.
  • Keep all your materials nearby for easy access.

Mixing

  • In a small bowl, mix clear glue with your chosen food coloring or liquid watercolors.
  • Experiment with different shades, stirring until well blended.

Creating Hearts

  • Use a heart-shaped template or freehand to outline a heart shape on the wax paper.
  • Carefully use a paintbrush or your fingers to fill in the heart shape with the colored glue mixture.

Adding Details

  • You can create designs by using contrasting colors or layering different shades.
  • Encourage creativity by adding dots or swirls.

Drying

  • Allow the glue suncatchers to dry completely. This can take several hours or overnight, depending on thickness.

Hanging

  • Once dry, carefully peel the suncatchers off the wax paper.
  • Attach a string or ribbon at the top for hanging.
  • Place them in windows where they can catch the sunlight!

Notes

For extra sparkle, mix glitter or sequins into the glue. Customize shapes and colors according to seasons.
