  • various drops food coloring or liquid watercolors Vibrant and fun, to add color
  • 1 sheet wax paper or plastic sheets To prevent sticking
  • 1 cookie cutter heart-shaped cookie cutter Or any heart template
  • 1 bowl small bowl or tray To contain your hearts
  • 1 tool paintbrush or dropper For adding color to glue
  • optional item scissors For cutting shapes if needed

Instructions

Preparation

  • Prepare your workspace by laying out the wax paper or plastic sheets to catch drips and help your creations release easily.
  • Pour a generous amount of clear glue into your bowl, noting the smooth and silky texture.
  • If desired, add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to the glue and mix gently to create a beautiful marbled effect.

Creating Suncatchers

  • Place your heart-shaped cookie cutter on the wax paper and carefully fill it with the colored glue mixture.
  • Allow the glue to be about half an inch thick in the cutter and take your time enjoying the process.
  • Optionally, add small beads or glitter while the glue is still wet for added texture and sparkle.
  • Let the filled heart shapes dry completely, which might take several hours or even overnight.
  • Once dry, gently peel the suncatchers away from the wax paper.
  • Find a sunny spot to hang your suncatchers using clear tape, string, or a suction cup.

Notes

Store suncatchers in a protective box with soft fabric or paper between each one to prevent scratches. They can be reused for seasonal decorations.
