Instructions
Preparation
- Gather Materials: Collect all supplies in a tidy workspace.
- Choose a Design: Sketch your suncatcher design lightly on a piece of black construction paper.
Creating the Mosaic
- Cut Tissue Paper: Tear or cut your colorful tissue paper into small pieces, about 1-2 inches in size.
- Apply Glue: Use a brush or your fingers to spread a thin layer of clear glue over a small section of your design. Stick the tissue paper pieces to the glue, overlapping them slightly to create a mosaic effect.
- Continue Layering: Repeat the process, working section by section until your design is fully covered with vibrant colors.
Finishing Touches
- Sealing (Optional): Apply a layer of Mod Podge over the top for durability and added shine. Let it dry completely.
- Prepare for Hanging: If you want to hang your suncatcher, use a hole puncher to create a hole at the top and thread a piece of string through.
