- 1 sheet Plastic wrap or wax paper To shape the suncatchers.
- 1 A tray or baking sheet For laying out the suncatchers.
- 1 Scissors For cutting materials if needed.
- Optional: Glitter, sequins, or other embellishments For added decoration and sparkle.
Instructions
Preparation
- Cover your working area with newspaper or a tablecloth for easy cleanup.
- Gather all materials to ensure you have everything on hand.
Creating Glue Mixture
- In a bowl, mix clear school glue with a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors.
- Stir well until the color is evenly distributed. The more you add, the more vibrant the color!
Shaping Suncatchers
- Lay a piece of plastic wrap or wax paper on the tray.
- Use a spoon or pipette to drop the colored glue into your desired shapes (like circles, hearts, etc.) on the plastic.
Adding Extra Flair
- Sprinkle glitter, sequins, or any other embellishments on your glue shapes for added sparkle and texture.
Drying Time
- Allow your suncatchers to dry completely, which may take several hours or overnight.
- Once dry, carefully peel them off the plastic wrap.
Display
- Hang your finished suncatchers in windows or create a mobile by attaching them to a string.
