Instructions
Preparation
- Lay down newspaper or a protective covering to keep your area clean.
- Gather all the materials needed for easy access.
Creating the Base
- Cut your wax paper or plastic sheet to the desired size for your suncatcher.
- If you want a specific shape (like a heart or star), draw an outline with a pencil.
Mixing Colors
- In small containers, add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolors to clear glue.
- Experiment by mixing different colors to see new shades and create unique hues.
Applying the Glue Mixture
- Using your paintbrush or simply your fingers, spread the colored glue onto the wax paper in your desired pattern.

Drying
- Allow the suncatcher to dry completely. This may take several hours or overnight, depending on the thickness of the glue.
Trimming and Displaying
- Once dry, carefully peel the suncatcher from the wax paper.
- Use scissors to trim any excess edges for a neat finish.
- Hang it in a sunny window and watch it shine!
