  • a few drops Food coloring or liquid watercolor Used to color the glue.
  • 1-2 Cartoon or fun-shaped cookie cutters To create different shapes for the suncatchers.

  • 1 Paintbrush (optional) For applying glue into cookie cutters.
  • 1 Glitter (optional) For adding sparkle to your creations.
  • 1 pair Scissors To cut shapes if needed.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Find a clean, flat working surface, ideally covered with newspaper or an old cloth to catch any spills.
  • In a bowl, squeeze out a generous amount of clear glue. Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor and mix well until you achieve your desired hue.
  • Place your cookie cutters on the baking paper or wax paper and carefully fill each shape with the prepared glue mixture using a paintbrush or squeeze bottle.
  • If desired, sprinkle glitter onto the wet glue for a sparkling effect. Let your imagination run wild with patterns and combinations!

Drying

  • Allow the suncatchers to dry for 24-48 hours. Ensure they are completely dry and firm to the touch before carefully peeling them off the baking paper.

Display

  • Hang your suncatchers in windows where they can capture sunlight or use them as decorative elements around your home.

Notes

Experiment with color swaps, shape variety, and layering techniques for unique designs. Consider coating with a clear acrylic spray sealant for added durability.
