Ingredients
  

Materials

  • 4 pieces Coffee filters (white or colored) Use 2 to 4 filters for thicker wings.
  • various colors Washable markers Choose vibrant colors for coloring.
  • 2 pieces Pipe cleaners You need two per dragonfly.
  • 1 piece Scissors For cutting the wings.
  • 1 piece Spray bottle with water Alternatively, use a paintbrush.
  • 1 piece Pencil Optional for sketching designs.
  • 1 piece String or ribbon Optional for hanging.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Take a few coffee filters and stack them together.
  • Flatten them out on a clean surface.

Coloring

  • Use washable markers to color the coffee filters in vibrant patterns.
  • Lightly spray or paint water over the markers to blend the colors.

Drying

  • Lay the colored filters flat on a clean towel or paper towel and let them dry completely.

Wings Creation

  • Once dry, fold the filters in half and then in half again to create a crease.
  • Cut rounded edges on top to give your dragonfly wings a whimsical shape.

Assembly

  • Take two pipe cleaners and twist them together at the center to form the body.
  • Attach the folded coffee filters at the top for wings and at the bottom for the tail.

Finishing Touches

  • Bend the ends of the pipe cleaners to form antennae.
  • Use string or ribbon to hang your dragonflies.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and patterns. You can use glitter or sequins for extra sparkle!
