  • 5 pieces Plain white coffee filters Easy to find
  • 2 pieces Water-based markers Choose vibrant and safe options

  • 1 piece Spray bottle Optional for spreading color
  • 1 pair Scissors Ensure child supervision
  • 1 piece Pipe cleaners or green floral wire To finish the flowers
  • 1 piece Paper towels For drying
  • 1 flat surface A flat surface for painting To work on

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Lay the coffee filters on a flat surface.
  • Use the markers or watercolors to gently color the edges of the coffee filters with chosen colors.
  • If using liquid watercolors, dip the filters lightly in the paint or spray them lightly with water.
  • Let the colored filters dry completely on paper towels.

Assembly

  • Stack two or three dried filters together for a fuller flower.
  • Pinch the filters together at the center and secure with a pipe cleaner or floral wire.
  • Gently pull the petals apart to shape the flower.
  • Arrange the flowers in a small vase or jar.

Notes

Feel free to use fabric paint instead of markers for a softer touch or add embellishments like buttons or beads for extra charm. Store completed flowers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain their color and shape.
