Instructions

Preparation

  • Start with a clean, flat surface. Take a few coffee filters and stack them. This helps create fuller blooms.
  • Using markers, color the edges of the stacked filters. Feel free to blend colors as you go.
  • Once colored, gently cup the filters in your hands. Begin to scrunch them from the center.
  • Pinch the center tightly and use your wire or pipe cleaner to twist around it.
  • Slowly pull open the outer petals, adjusting each petal to your vision.
  • Trim the bottom edge of the pipe cleaner or wire to your desired length for balance.
  • Add glitter or embellishments if desired.
  • Arrange your flowers in a container or vase.

Notes

These flowers can last for several weeks if stored in a cool, dry space. Consider using different materials or shapes for variety.
