  • 1 pack Coffee filters Any brand, easy to find at grocery store.
  • varied colors Acrylic paints Choose colors that appeal to you.
  • 1 unit Paintbrushes Any size that feels comfortable in hand.
  • 1 bowl Water For diluting paint.
  • 1 tray Tray or palette For mixing colors.
  • varied units Pipe cleaners or floral wire Optional for stems.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting petals.
  • 1 unit Cup or jar To display flowers.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Select a few coffee filters, choosing to use a single layer or stack a couple for a fuller flower.
  • Pour a little acrylic paint onto your tray or palette.
  • Dip a brush into the paint, starting from the center of the filter and sweeping outward to create patterns.
  • Flip the filter over and repeat the painting process.
  • Allow the painted filters to dry completely.
  • Cut the dried filters into petal shapes according to your intuition.
  • Gather a few petal shapes and secure them at the base using a pipe cleaner or floral wire.
  • Continue layering and shaping until your flower looks complete.
  • Display your finished flower creations in a cup or jar.

Notes

To maintain your flowers, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Dust them gently with a dry paintbrush when needed. Consider rotating them seasonally for variety.
