Ingredients
  

For the Flowers

  • 10 pieces Coffee filters (white or natural)
  • 5 drops Food coloring or watercolors Adjust based on desired color intensity.
  • 1 spray bottle Spray bottle for dye application Can also use a soft brush.
  • 1 stem Pipe cleaners (colorful)
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • as needed grams Glitter or decorative sequins Optional for added sparkle.

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dye

  • Mix a few drops of food coloring with water in small bowls to create your dye.

Dyeing the Coffee Filters

  • Hold a coffee filter and carefully fold it into quarters for intricate patterns.
  • Use the spray bottle or soft brush to apply the dye gently onto the filter.
  • Allow the filters to dry completely.

Forming the Flowers

  • Unfold the dried filters and layer two or three together for a fuller flower.
  • Pinch the center of your layered filters and twist gently to form the flower shape.
  • Secure the flower with a pipe cleaner by wrapping it around the base.
  • Optionally, glue sequins or glitter onto the petals for sparkle.

Displaying the Flowers

  • Place your finished flowers in a vase or jar to brighten your space.

Notes

Store flowers in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight to maintain color. Revive wilted flowers with a light spray of water or touch-up colors as needed.
