Ingredients
  

Materials Needed

  • 6 filters Coffee filters (white or colored) You can use white filters and color them or use colored filters directly.
  • 1 piece Green floral wire Used to secure the flower shape.
  • 1 pair Scissors For cutting the filters.
  • 1 bottle Glue (craft glue) To hold the flower together.
  • optional Watercolors or markers For adding color to the flowers.
  • optional Paintbrush or small water container If using watercolors to add color.
  • optional A small piece of sponge Optional for shaping the petals.

Preparation

  • Begin by laying out a stack of three coffee filters and align them neatly.
  • Gently pinch the center of the stacked filters and twist to create a soft stem shape.
  • Secure the twist with a small piece of floral wire, wrapping it tightly.
  • Pull gently upwards and away from the center to spread out the outer edges of each filter.
  • If desired, apply a light wash of watercolor to the tips of the filters and let them dry.
  • Once the petals are dry, add a few drops of glue at the base to hold the layers together.
  • Cut small shapes from the coffee filters for leaves and attach them to the wire using glue.
  • Display your completed flowers in a vase, jar, or special place.

Notes
