Instructions

Preparation Steps

  • Take 3 to 5 coffee filters stacked together. The more you stack, the fuller your rose will appear.
  • If you wish, gently brush watercolors or diluted food coloring onto the filters. Allow them to dry completely before moving on.
  • Once dry, using scissors, cut a petal shape into the stacked filters.
  • Starting from the outside, gently fold the filters towards the center, scrunching them lightly to create depth.
  • Take a piece of floral wire and insert it through the center. Firmly twist it to secure your flower.
  • You can wrap the stem with green floral tape for a finished look.
  • Spend a moment to open up the petals, adjusting the layers to your liking.

Finishing Touch

  • Once your Coffee Filter Roses are complete, place them in a vase or enjoy them as gifts.

Notes

Store the roses in a dry, cool place. Spritz lavender oil on tissue paper to scent the roses. For refreshing, gently pull apart and reshape petals.
