  • 5 pieces Coffee filters (white, natural) Basic filters that absorb colors well.
  • 5 pieces Watercolor or washable markers For coloring the filters.
  • 1 piece Scissors To cut the filters and pipe cleaners.
  • 5 pieces Pipe cleaners or floral wire To secure the tulips.
  • 1 bottle Gentle adhesive or glue (optional) For reinforcing the tulips.
  • 1 cup Small cup of water For coloring the filters.
  • 1 piece Paper towels or old cloth To catch any drips.

Preparation

  • Gather all the materials mentioned above.

Coloring the Filters

  • Create your color palette by dipping brushes or markers in water and choosing vibrant hues.
  • Lay a coffee filter flat and apply colors, allowing them to mingle and create gradients.
  • Allow the painted filters to dry completely.

Creating the Tulips

  • Once dry, pinch the center of a filter, folding the edges up to create a tulip shape.
  • Secure the pinch with a pipe cleaner or floral wire, twisting it gently.
  • Optionally, add glue to reinforce the shape.
  • Repeat with more filters, varying colors and shapes.

Display

  • Once your tulips are complete, display them in a vase or a cozy nook.

Notes

Store the tulips away from direct sunlight in a soft place to maintain their colors. Consider reusing them for future projects.
