Ingredients

  • 1 bunch White flowers (carnations or daisies work well) Fresh flowers are recommended for best results.

  • as needed cups Water Clear cups or vases to hold the colored water.
  • 1 pair Scissors Optional for trimming flower stems.
  • 1 cup Measuring cup For measuring water.

Preparation

  • Choose fresh white flowers; trim the stems to about 6 inches for better absorption.

Prepare Colored Water

  • Fill each clear vase or cup halfway with water.
  • Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup, creating different colors.
  • Mix gently with a stick or spoon until evenly distributed.

Place the Flowers

  • Place each flower stem into a separate cup of colored water, ensuring that the stems are submerged for maximum absorption.

Observe the Change

  • Check the flowers after a few hours to see the petals absorbing color and changing hues.
  • Leave them overnight for maximum effect; the transformation will be more pronounced by morning.

Notes

Mix different shades of food coloring for unique hues. Experiment with various types of white flowers like lilies or tulips for varied results.
