Ingredients
  

Foam Ingredients

  • 1 cup baking soda Can be divided for multiple colors
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar Use less for a smaller reaction
  • as needed food coloring (various colors) Customize colors to your choice
  • as needed liquid dish soap Enhances foam texture

Equipment

  • 1 baking tray or large container To catch foam overflow
  • 1 mixing bowl For mixing ingredients
  • as needed small cups or squeeze bottles For coloring application

Preparation

  • Select a clean area using a large tray or container to catch all the bubbling foam.
  • Gather all materials and ensure they are within reach.

Mix the Dry Ingredients

  • In a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of baking soda.
  • Optionally, divide the baking soda into smaller cups for multiple colors.

Create the Colorful Foam

  • In another small container, mix 1/2 cup of white vinegar with a few drops of food coloring.
  • If using multiple colors, prepare separate mixtures.

Combine and Watch the Magic

  • Pour the colored vinegar into the baking soda slowly.
  • Observe the reaction as bubbling and fizzing occurs, creating a colorful foam!

Experiment with Texture and Volume

  • Add a squirt of liquid dish soap to enhance the foam’s texture.
  • Use more vinegar for a larger eruption, or adjust quantities for less fizz.

Notes

Customize colors and scents with essential oils. Best enjoyed immediately after mixing, as the foam dissipates within minutes.
