  • 1 clean egg carton Clean egg carton

  • 1 set Paintbrushes For painting the birds
  • 1 set Googly eyes For adding features
  • 1 bottle Craft glue
  • optional number Pipe cleaners Optional for legs or details

  • 1 sheet Cardstock or paper For wings or beaks

Instructions
 

Preparing the Egg Carton

  • Use scissors to carefully cut out sections of the egg carton. Each section can turn into a bird body.
  • Trim the edges to create a rounded or more bird-like shape.

Painting Your Birds

  • Pick bright, vibrant colors or any scheme you like.
  • Use paintbrushes to cover each carton section in your chosen colors. Allow paint to dry completely.

Adding Features

  • Cut small shapes from cardstock or extra egg carton bits for wings. Paint or decorate them.
  • Glue googly eyes onto the bird bodies.
  • Attach the wings and cut a small triangle from cardstock for the beak and glue it on.

Final Touches

  • If using feathers, dab glue on the body and stick them on to create texture.
  • Use pipe cleaners to make legs and glue them onto the bottom of the bird.

Notes

Consider using markers or tissue paper for different decoration options. You can make themed birds for different seasons.
